So far, practice has been amazing. It’ s nice to have a full squad type of atmosphere. Tons of competition, you know, our main goal as a staff has been trying to see pairings. Trying to see groups of guys playing together, different guys competing for different positions and it’s elevated the environment tremendously. Practice has been pretty good. I mean everyone’s working very hard a lot of a lot of good encouragement positivity and I like to see how all these new freshmen are adding to the team and I feel like it’s just gonna help us grow, and Elmira is going to just get way stronger in years to come and I’m happy that I’m able to help build a foundation of that. The level has raised with all the new guys. I’m loving the environment. Each and every day hard work. We’re staying focused on the field, off the field, in the classroom. with the With the new system, everything is working working well. Between the freshmen there’s a ton of camaraderie. It’s amazing how well this group has clicked already within the first few days. We’re basically always together. A ton of friendships are being made and this group is really uniting faster than I’ve ever ever seen a team unite before. A lot of positives moving forward. The guys should be working on in practices soccer IQ. You know, we’re implementing a pretty rigorous style of play, something that requires the players to think quite a bit. I’m looking for the guys really to to have a high level of soccer IQ, focused in on the session hard working from the beginning and competing. Definitely trying to work out some of the kinks and some of the defensive sides of it, but honestly, I think that we’ve really improved on that and adding bigger bodies has definitely helped our cause. So it’s definitely a good positive. Expectations are very high. I think we’re definitely trying to build on the history of this program and take it in the right direction. With new coaching coming in last season definitely trying to build for the future and you can see that with the with all the freshmen coming in. So we’re hoping for a great season but we’re also looking long-term to really build this culture. Expectations for the season are very high. We want to win when the E8’s, go far in the NCAA tournament and just continue to established Elmira College soccer. I guess expectations for me, you know they’re always pretty lofty and for me, also have to look at a whole new group of players. We have to be realistic that these guys don’t have much college playing experience or any college games under their belt so, you know, we have to take it in stride. You know there’s gonna be some growing pains for sure and we’ll take each game day-by-day.
